air pods case from thread?

So I really want to try to make a case connected to maybe like a key ring or something for my AirPods but are there any patters anyone could reckoned following for something that big or if I could combine patterns I don’t know just any advice?

a solid pattern to start with would be to try #18 , and connect multiple ones like a double chevron similar to #134 until yuo have a width that can wrap around the caseone of my fave bracelet youtubers is akaawol, who makes lots of bags from bracelets in this video he makes a more square bag https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eekYVAwiqXg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v2YNaSdyMiw and here he explains how he measures the width of a pattern he needs to make a certain sized bag based on regular bracelets he made before |
