How do i make a teardrop loop with an odd amount of strings?

If you are making an alpha, you could just add an extra base string to the side, it shouldn’t change the pattern too much. I don’t know if there is a way to do teardrops with an odd number

Yeah, the teardrop loop is essentially still a loop, requiring an even number of strings. There's no easy way to really do that. There are methods but I don't know if I can explain that without a visual.

as far as I know, empatheo on instagram and youtube does occasionally make teardrop loops wiht odd colours. here's the youtube tutorial they made! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0eFVti4f5o I still want to try this out 😄 |

You can make the loop with one more string than the number of base strings, but then use the extra string as your leading string
