I also crochet blankets as a hobby, but bracelet making is by FAR faster and cheaper than that so I much prefer it!

I found two packs of thread, one colorful, one just black and white for $15 and $10. While making rainbow loom bracelets were easy, they were so quick, it would only last for like 30 minutes. At least with these, I can screenshot the pattern, and I have so many more choices! Its also cheaper, i think

There's already a lot of answers here, but here's mine.I'm on summer break currently, so I have plenty of spare time. Even so, I don't knot as often as others do, it's more of a relaxing treat for me. During the school year, I'm more busy, especially towards the end of the year near finals. I don't really make time for bracelets, I knot when I have spare time or need a break. It's something that I look forward to because I don't necessarily do it on a daily basis. As for money, I buy all of my string on Amazon in bulk. It's much cheaper, you can buy 140 skeins for like $10. It comes out to about $0.07 per skein, which is far cheaper than the $0.50/skein at craft stores. |

I ask people to buy me thread off Amazon from a specific brand called Soledi that I think works really well. I they're thread is great quality and cheap.

I’m 14, so I have quite a bit of time on my hands, my parents don’t give me an allowance so I have to make my own money, I couple years ago I started giving younger kids guitar lessons and eventually I started making a little bit of money from it, I love playing guitar, and making bracelets, so getting paid to teach guitar and using my money to buy material for bracelets was a win win for me! I am really lucky 🍀

I knot almost everyday, because it keeps my hands busy! Also, as long as I'm enjoying it the money doesn't matter too much!

I make bracelets when I’m stressed. Sort of a stress relief for me.
