so i just did my eighth attempt on doing an alpha. even thought i follow the **exact** directions from one of the four videos i’ve watched (multiple times) it doesn’t work and the knots are all over the place 🙁 i really wanted to start making alphas but they look the same every time

make sure you are tying your knots consistently and that your strings are the same thickness/brand. i still sometimes have the issues you’re having because i don’t always knot consistently and i sometimes don’t knot with strings of the same thickness/brand because i own threads of multiple brands. don’t worry though it takes a lot of practice and i’m sure if you practice a lot, you will get better at alphas! 🙂
