my (now dead) grandmother gave me a mini clipboard a while back for no reason really, and i started using it to knot when i started making friendship bracelets around a little over a year ago, so now its kind of a small tradition thing for me to only really knot while using her mini clipboard aha 🙂

I use both, i will use the clipboard to hold down the loop/beggining and tape to hole down the actual pattern when it gets long enough that its kinda hard to knot cause its up in the air.

I use tape, I find that for me it just holds better. But I do tend to reuse my tape from bracelet to bracelet cause otherwise I feel like I’m wasting tape...

between those two i would choose tape. i doe a forward backward not on my hydroflask and start from there. then you can easily take out the knot and you can braid that end and make it adujustable

I safety pin it to my jeans. It always slips from clipboards for me, and I don't like tape because if you don't do the bracelet in 1-2 sessions, you waste a lot of tape.

I use a lot. I make a loot and put it on my foot, I use tape a lot too but it always ends up coming out so I usally switch to something else, I have a mini clipboard that I use and I also have a thing that holds strings in place. If you want to look at it go to amazon and search friendship bracelet maker. (It is yellow with a bit of purple and green)

With alphas I use a clipboard and I tape the base strings down. And when I make a knot on the string I move it over while still under the tape. The normals I just take out the tape part.

I prefer to use duck tape. It's cheap everywhere and they have some super cute designs! They even have thin rolls like washi tape but they're actually duck tape.
