I was feeling experimental and was wondering if you have ever used anything other than embroidery thread to create the patterns on this site with rubber bands or something crazy like sewing thread or yarn. Id love to know😄

I used all purpose yarn for an alpha once. I like the way it turned out, but it was A LOT bigger than I expected it to be. If you're going to use yarn, I recommend using the baby-soft yarn. I noticed that my yarn broke a lot more often than floss though. The alpha patterns also work for bead weaving, which uses glass seed beads.

Then call me crazy XD I use sewing thread.... I used them for normal patterns (I started whan I was on holidays and didn't have anything else to do them with...)and it is also ok for alphas.... i even like them a bit more than embriodery floss, cause I can decice with how many strings of it I can use as one... Sorry if I didn't say it clear, I'm not from an English-speaking country....
