does anyone else have the problem of getting blisters on their fingers from tying bracelets? it is starting to hurt really bad, but i don’t want to stop making bracelets :/ i don’t want to loosen my knotting, but i don’t know what else to do.

Stop for today and start again tomorrow, it really helps. Also you’ll get used to it 🙂

I’ve never gotten blisters before. But I would agree w @Andyish j take a day off and after some time you’ll get used to it like anything and build up calluses lol

Yeah, when I get a blister, I just stop and apply some ointment just in case and continue making the bracelet tomorrow.

Mhm or put band aids on the fingers the string presses against.. I did that when my fingers weren’t used to it!

@Andyish, me in a nutshell. I wear band-aids on like 2-3 fingers at all time due to random cuts and the blisters. People know me for it, gah.

Not too long ago I got a really nasty blister on my pointer finger from bracelet making and I couldn't even bend my finger completely the next day. What I would 110% recommend is that the bandaid brand actually sells blister bandaids that are meant just for blisters. I left one on my finger for a few hours and the blister sort of dissolved for lack of better term. Then I was able to take care of the blister with antibiotic cream and I was good to go. I would also recommend covering the blister temporarily with a thick bandaid or moleskin if you absolutely cannot stop working on your bracelets like me.

@shalea3065 Happy that it's working for you! The blisters should go away and the skin should eventually get calloused (at least in my experience) so it shouldn't happen again!

i thought i was the only one! mine normally aren’t too bad but maybe put bandaids on before working on the bracelet even if you don’t have any blisters just to be preventative
