I am just wondering what got you into making bracelets. For me I saw a video on it and I just liked the look of them and wanted to make my own.

I started at summer camp because I had no friends and people thought it was cool cause of how good I was and how intricate the patterns I did were compared to the chevron

I started when I was in girl guides, and we spend a lot of time simply making bracelets. That’s where I was taught to make simple chevrons and the Chinese staircase. It wasn’t until a while later that I learned new patterns

I think I was bored and wanted something to do. I probably surfed the web and found kumihimo. I remember making them whent I wen to summer school. I had gotten one of those packs with all the craft cord and wheels from my mom because she wanted to keep me busy during the summer. I was into that for a while, but then set it down for a long time. I surfed the internet yet again years later, hoping to do something a little more portable than knitting. Then I found how to read patterns. I made those and was obsessed again. I then learned to make alphas and I just kept spiraling to where I am now!

I knew how to make bracelets before, but during quarantine I got really bored. I’ve always crafted, but I wanted something new to do, so I found a new craft.

oops i clicked send 🙁 but i was gonna say doing something with my hands is really good for my mental health and making bracelets is one of those things that’s just really calming for me, i’ve been making them for as long as i can remember but i started learning how to read patterns last summer and started alphas at the start of quarantine.

I was going to a lake and then my mom picked up a big bag of string because she used to make them when she was a kid. We tried to make a candy stripe I never finished one. I continued trying for 2 weeks. I made half of a candy stripe and part of a chevron.
