Tie dying embroidery floss?

So I’m going to tie dye stuff today, and just bought some white string. Would using tie dye supplies work, or do I need other stuff to dye the thread?

It would work fine. Your string is made from the same material as clothing so it shouldn’t be an issue - unless you’re using waxed cord then the wax will probably prevent it from soaking in.

@2006_Mandy I just tie dyed the string, so now I’m waiting for it to dry, so I will let you know how it turns out sometime tomorrow.

@2006_ Mandy So they are completely dry, they turned out a little dark, I used the squirt bottles, but next time I would recommend squirting some into a cup or something, then painting it on

Do you think using acrylic paint of glitter glue to paint the strings would work?
