I literally adore my bead loom. It’s pretty much the only thing I use BraceletBook for because I never really loved knotting bracelets (though I love all of the normal patterns that I can’t use with my bead loom). I was just wondering if anyone else uses bead looms? I don’t see that many photos of beaded patterns. Also, any recommendations for a larger bead loom? Possibly one that’s adjustable so I don’t have to worry about wrapping string. I’m looking to make medium sized tapestries in the future (lotssss of work lol). I may just have to make one myself. Anyways just let me know your bead loom experiences below. I’m curious |

Hey! I’ve never heard of bead looms but seeing what you wrote they seem pretty cool. Wish I could be more help 🙁

@ursula3 I really love them. I’m kinda new to the site so I don’t have much to show, but if you wanna check out what the bracelets look like, I have some pics on my profile. Happy knotting 🙂

@ursula3 You can find them in various craft stores and even Walmart. Just need some seed beads, beading thread, needle, and a loom and you’re set.

I have a little loom but I haven't tried much on it, probably because I didn't have the right materials. I think the one I have is a little kit for kids or something lol I think the loom is probably fine it's just the materials to get for it is what I would need help with. Sorry I can't be much help either.

@roxy Honestly, even the cheapest looms work well for basic patterns. If you ever have any questions about it, send me a message and I’ll help as best as I can 🙂

@jesmc2129 what kind of thread and beads would you recommend?

I do beading, but I don't use a loom for it, as I prefer the off loom beading technique more. I'm not very good, but I've been making knock of versions of pura vida bracelets for my friends.

@roxy There’s something specifically called beading thread because it’s small enough to fit through even the smallest beads. I like seed beads, but be careful not to get beads that are too small for the needle you use to thread them.

@emisstuff I’ve tried to use off loom techniques, but I just find a loom so much more fun (except when you weave in your warp threads 🤣)
