strings breaking off mid-bracelet

How can I prevent strings from breaking off? I bought a different brand other than DMC and it keeps breaking. Is it the quality or should I just not pull as hard?

I think it might be the quality of the sting because normal embroidery floss or thread doesn't easily break

What brand is it? I use DMC and Loops & Threads and I've never had a string break even though I pull pretty hard

@madeleine_ I usually use dmc, but recently I bought a lot of the brand j&p coats bc it was cheaper😬😂
