I totally agree about the starburst pattern @madeleine_ 😂 I've never made one because I don't find it aesthetically pleasing 🤷🏼♀️ It's a matter of taste/personal preference though. My unpopular opinions are: 🔸 I don't like long ties or basic loops. 🔹 Teardrop loops are my favorite way to start bracelets. I also disagree with Masha Knots. The pattern doesn't need to have an even count of threads of each color to start it with a loop. It's not easy and doesn't always turn out super clean but I literally start _any_ pattern with a teardrop loop. |

@madeleine_ I attach bracelets that begin with either a knot or a loop to the spiral part of a notebook. With a knot, I put it between two of the spiral loops and then take one bobby pin coming from the right and slide it over the strings just below the knot along with several loops of the spiral. Then I do the same thing with another bobby pin coming from the left. If I have a loop, I take a bobby pin coming from the right and slide it over the left side of the loop and several loops of the spiral and then do the same on the other side coming from the left. I hope that made sense, I know it's kind of weird, lol. I've never seen anyone else attach bracelets that way, but I've been doing it for years 😂 |

it’s really ugly when people at the end of their braided ties (after that knot) they have like half an inch of string. i make mine rlly short and fray the string to make it look cool. NO HATE

I hate making alphas😂they leave more room for creative liberties but they eat up so much more thread and take FOREVER to finish. The back looks ugly too unless you clip every single thread and they just aren’t as practical to wear

1. I dislike double-color loops. I've tried them but I like the look of single-color ones better 😉2. Row-by-row knotting makes me want to tear my hair out 😤 3. I like backward knots better than forward knots 🤪 4. Taping bracelets to a table doesn't work that well, I prefer a safety pin 🙂 5. Often I prefer to follow a pattern rather than watching a video tutorial, but depends 🤔 6. I think big loops look weird 😄 7. I don't particularly enjoy the process of knotting the actual bracelet? I mostly love picking out the colors and starting my loop. 😂 I might think of more later. 😆 |

@Fluffball I use safety pins too!! I tried taping it to a pillow for my first alpha and the base strings were getting pulled bcz I didn’t braid it at the beginning, so I safety pinned it to a pillow.

loops are overrated and really annoying if you actually plan on wearing your bracelet. they only look good in keychains. i only use braided ties on my bracelets and i’ll usually make them adjustable if i plan on wearing them or just leave them normal if i plan on using them as a bookmark.

thick bracelets do not look good when you where them. they are too chunky and only look good as bookmarks. i usually just make them, admire them for a little bit and then put them away cuz i don’t even read often enough to need bookmarks

Crimp ends are easy to close.I make my bracelets 13 cm, and my wrist is 15 cm. If your like me and tie your knots very tightly, closing a bracelet with crimp ends can be a pain. |
