in theory , would it be possible to somehow make a bunch of bracelets / alphas and sew them together to make a huge blanket-like thing ? and if so , how would you go about doing that ?

@raiya I thought about making a blanket out of yarn, but making it like one big bracelet. So I would pick a large pattern and then double the pattern a few times. Then you wouldn’t have to sew them together it would just be one big piece if that makes sense.

Just buy a ton of yarn, taht way you will never run out!Try doing the starry night one. Forgot the number but theres is this HUGE starry night alpha that looks like it could make a blanket if you put for in a two by two gris |

I guess you could, but it would probably be really uncomfortable

I think that's a clever idea but it probably wouldn't be that nice as an actual blanket. I think a cushion cover would be nicer

Splicedbypatchie on Instagram has thin alpha bracelets with flowers that looked embroidered on to.

it sounds cool but i would never have the patience haha, maybe if you're going to do it use thin crochet thread, maybe the kind used for baby blankets its usually thinner than most yarns

You could use chunky blanket yarn, make squares of that, and sew together the squares like a quilt using the chunky yarn still.

The knots would probably have to be looser for that to work though.

You could buy lots thick yarn. Then you could make a big rag rug and have tassels for the beginning and the end. Also I would maybe tape the base strings down to the floor.

Honestly I have this thought all the time... like what if it’s the apocalypse but I can still make bracelets and just sew them together to make clothes? Or making a blanket with a pattern by using thick thick yarn?
