I’ve been considering starting an etsy shop because I finally am beginning to feel confident enough. The thing is, when I overdo it because I’m trying to finish a project, my wrist will ache from overuse and ill have to stop for a few days to recover. Does anyone who has to keep a shop stocked experience any pain from knotting too much? How do you make so many bracelets and take care of yourself? I really want to do it but I’m worried I won’t be able to keep up 😭 Idk how these shop owners do it

A lot of people build up a collection FIRST and then post from the collection so you have a group of listings. Then you can add a new bracelet or two as listings are purchased. That way you aren’t knotting non-stop.

I never have more than 10 bracelets in stock on my Etsy, because then I never have to make large amounts. Honestly, you’re more important than your business so if you can’t keep up with the orders then let them know that it will be delayed. Most people are very understanding about that.

I dont pressure myself to do them all at once. I sell at school, and if i have a lot of orders, ill sell the next week so that i have time on the weekend.

I myself run a shop with my friend (not online but will be soon), and I do find myself getting worn out at times, especially when I do not particularly like that bracelet I am making. There are a few ways I deal with this. One being not doing too much. I will set a reasonable goal of how much I want to do, and do that then take a break so I don't get tired out. I will also put something on in the background like a bracelet youtube video, or my favorite tv show. I also sometimes make stock for my business to sell, and people can pick from that stock that I made so I am not making a bunch of custom orders, which can be very time consuming. I hope this was helpful and have a great day!

Yeah try building a collection or you can raise prices as demand increases

and, if you’re feeling bored during the bracelet, think about sweet, sweet cash!
