Just curious about how everyone stores their string!Do y’all wrap into floss bobbins? Store in a tackle box? Let me know! I’m curious Also what are your go to items to put in your storage aside from string?? Mine are a small baggie for string clippings, a few decorative beads, crimped ends, lobster clasps, metal rings, and a multi tool with scissors in it! |

I keep my extra strings in a shoe box for alphas, but I have a box for floss bobbins for the actually skeins of string

I’ve never really used bobbins. I know practically the whole community does, but I feel it’s a waist of time lol. Should I give it a try? and i use bead organizers from Micheals.

I have a little carry-on box with anything I would need for bracelets and I wrap unused string in "floss bobbins"

Personally, I really like them because if I leave the string with the paper, it always get tangled when I take string out

@mollycarr I personally think it is worth my time because it looks better and takes less time for me to cut my string when I have it rewrapped onto the bobbins

I bought stackable storage containers that clasp together and used little organizing trays from target inside. I keep my strings (mostly) color coated on cardboard bobbins in the organizing trays and I smaller little trays that I keep extra string and in progress bracelets in, all of this in the top container. In the bottom I keep all my my black/white/extra skeins of colors I have on bobbins and a little bag of craft cord which I rarely use. In the bottom I also have tape, scissors, extra safety pins, my clipboard and a ruler (which I don't use often I just wingspan measure). I want to buy crimp ends, charms, keyrings and buttons and possibly add another storage container clasped underneath to keep those in!

I have 3 boxes 😂 One of them holds sorted colored thread on bobbins and another has sticker all over it that holds neutral colors. My third box is just my small pair of scissors, scrap string, a bunch of unused bobbins, and also some mini rolls of duct tape. I have a lot of string in the boxes alone, but I also live on the east coast, and when A.C. Moore had their closing sale, I bought a lot more sting that just sits in a bag because I'm too lazy to wrap it on bobbins and reorganize the colors in my box. Sometimes I find it useful that I didn't wrap them though because I've been able to make nice color combos when I see the colors scattered.

I have all my strings on bobbins, but they are all stored randomly in a box😂 also, I have a ziploc bag with all my extra strings for alpha or for anything it could be useful

Aight imma get specific. So I have this pretty big drawer in my room, and it fits ALL of my string and supplies PERFECTLY. So I have only 1 box for bobbins (I’m running low on that string) and I have this sorter type thing (idk it has like six little compartments) and I sort more bobbins by color. THEN I have this vans box that I store WAYYYY more bobbins in. I just went to Michaels,and got like 200 skeins of thread, so I’m working on winding those and putting them into the vans box. LASTLY (I have sooooo much string) I have this organizer with guess what, even more string. I got it off amazon and it has like 3 different “rows?” If that’s wut u could call em. So ya, it’s confirmed that I have too much string

Ooouuuu I never knew they were called bobbins! I have 3 string organizers that were used for embroidery thread... but i just use that thread for bracelets instead. 2 of them use the embroidery thread that’s my favourite and the last one holds that weirdly textured “friendship bracelet thread” that is shiny and I’m not a fan of the texture.

I have three boxes of string on bobbins, but I have a box of 200+ skeins of string that arent on bobbins that are in bags by color 😊

I put my string on bobbins and then organize them in one of those clear boxes by color. I have a section in the box for string scraps, and I also keep scissors, a 10cm ruler, safety pins, binder clips, pencils, and a couple hair ties in the box
