I live in Canada and I’m trying to find different string on amazon. The ones that show up for me seem super expensive 😬 so I’m just curious what string you buy on amazon! (Can also be amazon us) Or is there a go to website you order from? Michaels shipping is really expensive which is why I’m hesitant ordering from there. Thank you guys Have a beautiful day ♥️ |

I like using DMC, but 1) I don’t know how expensive it is and 2) I don’t know if it ships to Canada

I like mira thread. It is not as silky as dmc or other brands but it does not knot as easily as the no name threads.

I’m in Canada and I recently bought 140 colours of DMC for 18$ from amazon, not the best quality (sometimes the paper thing that attaches the string was stuck to the string) but it doesn’t break and I think it’s worth the deal 🙂

to buy from amazon as a bulk pack, i recommend the brand “le paon”. IT IS THE BEST STRING PURCHASE I HAVE EVER MADE. seriously. i was skeptical (but desperate) about the price and i was not disappointed, it is the strongest and softest floss i have ever knotted with!!!

I'm from Canada too. I've recently bought strings from a brand called Paxcoo. It was 14.99 for 50 strings. It comes out at around .30 cents for each Skein which is pretty good. I haven't received them yet so I'll update on the quality when I get them. I think I bought the last one that offered 50 for 14.99, now they only have the 124 Skein available. Which would come around .32 cents per Skein. |

I bought a pack of 50 colors from Amazon that was really cheap because it gave colors “that may be different than pictured,” so I got like five shades of a weird beige and no black.

I love the brand Lovimag on Amazon! In the US I got a pack of 250 for 22 dollars. They also have larger packs (400+ skeins) for a little over 30. I don't know how much it costs for Canada or anything though, but it was great quality and had a ton of colors!

A little update on the Paxcoo thread I mentioned in a message above. Honestly I am really impressed. They are really similar to DMC thread and even use the same color code. Although I would still double check the color code if its a thing for you because the colors aren't exactly the same.My - let's say original since that's the brand of thread I like the most - DMC color (995) is brighter than the (995) I got from Paxcoo so it's not exactly a perfect match. Also there are no repeated colors. Overall I am really happy with my purchase. It did take about a month to arrive but considering the Quarantine I didn't mind much. |

Caydo! Its really cheap for all the skeins you get! I dont think dmc is the one you have to use, its quite expensive, but it is very good quality! I found an amzing kit on amazon too by Arcanum Creations. It has 200 pieces, so if you do cross stitch, it has all the tools youd need. It comes with 100 colorful bobins and 50 neutrals. I like it since it prioritizes the colors you use the most, so white, black, light beige, grey, and dark brown, so ten bobbins of each of those.
