should I buy embroidery floss from wish?

I found one listing on wish for 450 skeins for 50 CAD + 14 dollars shipping. It has a 4.9 rating and 30 reviews and that seems like such a cheap price but I still feel like it’s kind of sketchy. Should I trust wish?

I would look at the reviews and try to see what the pros and cons about the string is. If it says that the string snaps very easily or something like that, I would consider buying different embroidery floss. If almost all the reviews are saying that it is a good product, I would buy it! 450 skeins would be a lot of string to have and would be very good when making bracelets 😄

I don’t recommend this. You could get a nice pack of DMC from Walmart of about 200 for the same price, and it will get to you faster.

I wouldn’t say DMC would be as cheep as that but I would get a small pack first to see if they are good so you don’t waste a lot of money on something you won’t use

Ok thanks for the advice! I’ll probably try checking out Walmart first but I’m not sure if they have DMC where I live. Ik they have it at Michaels but it’s really expensive and I usually don’t see it in bulk. If I don’t find anything I might try buying a small pack to test it out like you Guys suggested. 🙂

I saw that post too! Reviews say it’s not DMC (not really surprised there) but a lot of people seem to say it was good. I bought it. 😂 we’ll see how it goes. I didn’t want to sit on another site and pick out floss singles for eternity and hope the pictures were true to colour. 🤷🏻♀️

I feel like sometimes it doesn't hurt to try when it comes to wish if its really cheap. It might be horrible quality but its really cheap and could be good for practice string or base strings hahaha. I order in bulk from amazon and have found that the ones I get on there are great quality and a very good price.

Also don't trust the reviews for anything on wish, most of them are fake! But wish is getting a lot better at at least giving you what you ordered and not a completely different thing altogether, it just takes 2 months to get to your house and that sucks ahahah

Wish is known for bad-quality products and scam-pricing. If you don't really care if the colors are different than what you're ordering, and you look in your cart and it show the total is the price you said, though, i think you may be ok.
