I'll list three things:1. When a string snaps STORY: I was making a dovetail bracelet and I was doing pretty well on it. Somehow, my string snapped and I couldn't find the correct color so I tried to add one similar to it. Then, ANOTHER string snapped and I just gave up. The dovetail bracelet is still in my unfinished bracelets box 🙂 2. When I cut the wrong amount of strings STORY: This happened MULTIPLE times actually, one was with a normal pattern. I was counting out my strings for a really pretty pattern and knotted the loop already. However, I was off by TWO strings and had to choose a different pattern with the same amount of strings and colors. I hated segment knotting it but finished it. In the end, I got a fairly long bracelet but one I didn't enjoy much. 3. When people try to knot on my bracelet STORY: Sometimes I bring my bracelets to school (before everything else happened) and many people asked if they could knot a few rows. I was kind enough to let them knot on my sixteen-string bracelet (big mistake!) and the next thing I knew I found a ball of tangled string. I told them nicely to go away (they still got mad :/) and tried to undo it. Luckily, the damage wasn't as bad and I had thought and I was able to continue the bracelet. NEVER trust anyone with almost zero bracelet experience to knot on a bracelet you started. Well, those are a few things that get on my nerves in bracelet terms! Do you guys relate? |

@Seli I relate pretty well! I have NEVER had a string snap (I wanna keep it that way) but I relate with your last storie SO well! Although I just got into knotting before quarentine, I would still knot during school and in class. I would always bring a clipboard to lunch and eat as fast as I can so I can continue. This girl at my table (we have assigned seats uggghh🤮) asks if she can knot a few rows. (Back then I made only 8-12 strings) so I said “sureeeee I guess” not realizing what I let her do. So she ATTEMPTS though she has NEVER knitted in her life and gets it into this HUGE knot that I couldn’t undo. I later had to throw the bracelet out bc I couldn’t untangle it, and I was running low on string so then I was sad. Now I never let ppl knot my bracelets except for these 2 girls that I’m friends with cuz they make decent bracelets

I HATE it when I make a mistake but don't realize it, then after I do like a million more knots I realize that it messed up the whole pattern and I have to undo all those knots 😵

i am super impatient so i have no idea why i make these but sometimes i get bored of a super cute bracelet and i can’t force myself to keep going and it annoys me sooo much!!! sometimes i tell myself i will resume late but i never do, i have like three times the amount of unfinished bracelets than finished ones.

i hate when i get my string ready to start one and try it for the first time, or maybe i’m just trying my own patterns or something and then i mess up and cut it and then i can’t do anything else bc it’s too short.

Also when people are like how do u do that??? What do u expect me to say? I say magic words and then do a backflip? It’s just knots. (Not saying it’s not complicate because it is for sure) but like it’s a bunch of knots, placing the knots and tightening and making patterns is the actual hard thing.

Ok so I sprained my pointer finger the other day and I have to have it in a splint when I knot or else I can't knot at all and the string is hurting my other fingers. (My string even hurts my fingers when none of them are hurt after knotting for a while)
