Honestly, I will likely say no and explain to them that my crafts are not for sale... unless I am making one specifically for a commission.

Tell them that you'll make one for them if they make one for you ๐That's the point of friendship bracelets after all! You get to display a piece of them while they get to display a piece of you โบ If they don't agree - nicely explain to them how many hours it takes to make them and equate it to a minimum wage job. Say it takes you 4 hours to make a bracelet, multiply that by minimum wage and that would be the "fair" price for your time. If you explain it to them that way, it definitely paints it in a whole new light lol. I think most people just don't know the amount of effort and time it takes to make these. I'm sure if they're a good friend, they'll completely understand after you explain it to them! |

I know its not about thread, but i use rainbow loom. I was making the slipfish bracelet by angellyn, but i really wanted to wear it to school tomorow. So i brought my board, my hook, and my bands. I finished it then everyone started asking hey can u make one for meee? Actually selling bracelets at school is my thing. I was planning to sell copies for 100-150 pesos or two to three dollars. But they were asking it for free. This is how one wentI just made this bracelet! Do you like it? Yea! Can you make me one? Sure! What colors? Black and pink! Thatll be 2.50$, and youll get it next week. WHAT? Why? It takes time and effort! Got a problem with that?! It looks so easy! Why is it that expensive for a bracelet?! WHY DONT YOU MAKE IT?! You know what? I will. So i gave her instructions, bands, and a hook. She couldnt do the first row. She decided to buy one tho anyways |

It depends who it is that asks. But for the most part I like to keep mine because I think itโs satisfying to have tons of bracelets. But there are special people who have my work!

I actually had someone over IG ask me to make one for them. Im in Mass and they are in Cali. It was made in 4 days and shipped out when it was done. its been about two weeks and they claim they still haven't received it. The entire time I was making it, they were messaging me multiple times a day asking if it was done yet. Its funny because its lost in the mail, but its sad that they think I just didn't send it. Also, I made personalized ones for my friend group. The one I sent to Cali is the "Motley Crue" one on my IG: Skullz_bracelets

K so this is only if you don't mind lying, but you just say "oh, sorry I'm giving this to someone already, I'll make you another one!" then you hope they forget, and if they don't, MAKE EM A BRACELET THEY REALLY WANT ONE! But, saying that you're already giving the bracelet to someone isn't exactly a lie, you're giving it to yourself ๐๐โฅ๏ธ

I have a whole collection of bracelets that I made but don't really like (for example it has wonky edges) or they are really easy to make (for example, the zipper bracelet). And whenever someone asks for a bracelet, I just take some from there and give it to them. They don't really care.

i have quite a big collection of bracelets (60+) and i only wear about 5 of them, i have made some specifically for friends but only a few of them actually wore the bracelets so i just stopped giving them away, but i will sell them if the opportunity arises!

If I were you, I would teach her how to make bracelets, show her Braceletbook website/app & learn tutorials & ideas from YouTube and Instagram. I get attached to the bracelets that I make, so wouldnโt make it for somebody else unless I made duplicates in different colors.
