When I first started I made 2 normal bracelets and then jumped straight into alphas. It went fine and I wear my first alpha bracelet 24/7. Did anyone else do this. I see a lot of people saying that they’ve been making bracelets for years and still haven’t made an alpha. What makes them harder? I’m genuinely confused😭

Me too in a way! I made my first alpha only in 3 months to making normal pattern bracelets, and I went for more advanced alphas right away.

i think if you've only ever made a normal pattern, and you know how they work, it's hard to switch to alphas. You can't knot alphas and normals the same way - alphas go across, while normals are diagonal i guess?

Alphas are just harder to learn. I shied away from them for years because it looked too complicated

I’m honestly so intimidated by normal pattens!! I found alphas so easy to learn because they’re all basically the same process. Whereas in normal patterns it’s a whole knew knotting pattern each time.
