I’m 14 and OVERLY obsessed with the hunger games. Bc of THG I’ve gotten into reading. I’ve almost finished mockingjay but I’m scared that I’ll loose my reading interest when THG is over. Can someone recommend books similar to THG? I also like murd3rer, t0rture and really just violent things so those subjects are welcome as well : ) thank you in advance

have you read the hunger games prequel, ballad of songbirds and snakes? its based around president snow in the 10th hunger games. theres also going to be a book about haymitch coming out in 2025 i believe

I'm a complete book geek, so let me just dump a couple of books here. Also if I say it has a romance their is nothing sexual, and its not the main plot line, just a sub character development thing. Girl Forgotten - April Henry (murder mystery, slight romance) Moongarden - Michelle Barry (science fiction) The Girls Are Never Gone - Sarah G. Marsh (horror, queer romance) The Inheritance Games - Jennifer Lynn Barnes (mystery?? its hard to pick a genre for this one) (also has a slight romance) Skyward - Brandon Sanderson (Science fiction, slight romance) Scythe - Neal Shusterman (Dystopian world) (If you like slight violence this book would be great) How To Disappear - Sharon Huss Roat (realistic fiction) Couple of end notes, first of all if you want more recommendations just reach out, I have a ton! I have tried to avoid saying any books previously said by other people so as not to overlap. And the last thing I will say is that even if you don't like the genres I have listed for some of these, all of these are undoubtedly worth reading. I don't care if you hate science fiction, read Skyward its a phenomenal book. Also now that I look at these they basically all have a side plot romance so... (But none are sexual!) Good luck finding some more books you enjoy! |
