INDIGO is not supposed to be in it the balance or warm vs cool is thrown off and it looks awful. Do you agree?????

indigo does belong in the rain bow if you put pink in it. then the balance works out

I feel like it doesn’t belong mainly because it’s a tertiary colour

For me it's back and forth. So I often sing the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse version of the rainbow which has just ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 and it's easier to just have purple but in my mind and when saying it I include indigo and violet. The way I see it, a rainbow is like taking the three primary colors and lining them up in a pattern, then smudging them together. Like this: ❤️💛💙❤️=❤️→🧡←💛→💚←💙→💜(🩷)←(❤️) (pretend the pink is violet) Plus I've seen a couple actual rainbows in the sky that were really bright and had both indigo and violet well defined. |

The indigo and violet are like the two sides of purple ( tertiary colors) so maybe it's actually indigo, purple, violet? And if so, one could include yellow greens and teals right? I might be thinking too hard on this now😂 I guess it's up to the individual to decide how complicated or zoomed in they want their rainbow to be at the moment. |

i believe in justice for indigo considering that my older brother always told me that it was... since when he was in kindergarten, at his school they had a mini performance and each kid was a color in the rainbow (there were multiples) and he was one of the couple of other indigos.justice for indigo. also roygbiv ig idk atp im going off if morally indigo should be on the rainbow or not lol |

to add on to what i said above...if we're going based off of what is most commonly aesthetically pleasing, then i'd leave indigo. but going off of what Isaac Newton said (so we're getting scientific here with wavelengths now lol) he said that indigo IS on the spectrum of colors... the fact that it is a tertiary color however can be argued idk my overall answer is "yesn't" |

i would say in real rainbow or like realistic drawing yes, but the 3 warm tones and 3 cool tones is a better balance for art/making a set of smth with different color of the rainbow...
