i'm still pretty sensitive about this subject so it bothers me that people spend time pondering that to make a pattern like that.🙁

I understand that you're sensitive to some of things still. But if you sit around wondering why anybody would make anything YOU don't like, you'll just drive yourself crazy. I'm 28, so I've had a lot of time to learn this lesson; but as you grow up, you'll learn to ignore the things that offend you. If you don't ignore those things, you'll let other people's actions have control of your life. If someone posts a pattern that you don't like, just gloss over it. Nobody's going to force you to make it. And some people may not like the content of the patterns you post. But honestly, people are always going to do things that you may not like. Sometimes you'll know about it; most of the time you won't. Unless someone is asking you to do something you don't want to do, the best is to ignore it. Or, to summarize: if you don't like the show, change the channel.

I started a forum about this as some of you said you are younger and this makes you uncomfortable and that's no good so what about the change the channel thing, adik is there a way you guys could build a filter on this site I can give instructions how as I have done this same thing on my own site (sketching) not very popular but it made the younger artists feel safer

That pattern contains no foul language, no depictions of adult anatomy, or anything threatening. I'll agree that it most certainly implies something sexual, but having sex is not against the law. There is nothing in the pattern that violates the Terms of Use. It is simply a nut and bolt, which are found everywhere; and a few words that you would hear chanted at a football or hockey game. And the truth is, this website is privately owned. Admin and Adik can post whatever they like, even if it might bother you. I like your idea of being able to block patterns you don't like. Perhaps you should suggest that in the Site and App section of the forum. Maybe they'll work that option into the site's redesign.

ok wolf, and lyra, i though i explained thisi know what its terms of use because i wrote them, that is so that when i decline a pattern people cant get angry, but by inappropriate i mean rude symbols, swear words, or sexually inappropriate patterns, but for a plant that grows in nature, i dont think that is that inappropriate. Also it is all around us, no matter whether the patterns will be on here, the people are going to meet with those sort of things, and if the people already know what it is on the pattern, then they probably have some knowledge about it. I dont think that a pattern is going to make the kids smoke the stuff. If they do it, its not because of a pattern they found. |

It's the internet everyone. There will always be smut on websites even like this. I do agree with the fact that they're younger minds on here that shouldn't be exposed to such items, but we truly cannot diminish every 'bad' thing we see. I think there could be more vigilance as to the content posted. |

I agree with Adik, if she hadn't considered they were appropriate, she wouldn't have accepted them. In my case, if I don't like a pattern, I don't make it and that's it. There's an ocean of patterns to choose ;D
