I kind of write what I might want to make and for normal patterns I pretend like I'm doing it right now and I kind of think of the different types of knotsfor alphas I either draw or do something like that on the BraceletBook site and see how it looks |

When I see a bracelet that I really like I get inspired by it and think of patterns that are a bit like that pattern.Sometimes I want something specific to be on my pattern so I do sketches and try to figure out how it works. |

For alphas, I have a notebook with graph paper in it, that I like to draw out ideas in, and that really helps, but for normal patterns, I just sketch out an idea, and tweak it as I go along.
