Anyone ever make a stretchy alpha?

I have this idea about creating a hair band. As an alpha. The loom part could be stretchy 1mm elastic cord (like fabric covered rubber band material) and then the regular embroidery floss on it. Has anyone ever tried this? If so, how did it go? |

You know what I was just thinking of this because I have a lot of that stretchy cord and I've been trying out a lot of new techniques. I'll brainstorm and experiment and see if I can get it to work! (Or if it's just not meant to be 😅) I'll come back with my findings.

I’m not exactly sure the design would be very clear once it was stretched out. I would just think the knots would kind of separate. I don’t know but it doesn’t hurt to try
