When someone hosts a challenge, what are your prize preferences? Do you like getting your patterns rated and loved? Do you want a pattern made? Do you just want first place and don't actually care about the prizes? Friend requests? Shout-outs? No prizes?What makes you really want to do a challenge? |

this might be just me, but I do challenges mostly bc i'm indecisive and I never know what to make 😂

I only just started doing challenges, but I usually pick based on the theme or content, not necessarily the prizes. I just like the challenge!

I also join based on preferences, what I'm already working on, and mostly motivation. Challenges were what helped me out of a slump this summer.As far as prizes, I don't really care. 5 star ratings are better than loves in my opinion since I feel like loves are more personal? Same with friends requests, which I see a lot |

For challenges I prefer loves over five star ratings because you can see the amount of loves better than the ratings (when you are looking at patterns you only see the rating (ex: 98.5%) but you see the amount of loves. Then, obviously when you click on the pattern you see the amount of ratings but I think loves are better. I also never join challenges where one of the prizes is "rating patterns four stars" ; I don't understand why you would have a prize where you give four star ratings, it only makes the rating lower. I don't really care about friend requests or shoutouts unless the person hosting the challenge is a well-known/popular creator in this community (ex: you see their patterns all the time with high ratings, numerous loves, etc..) I also don't care much for a custom pattern being made as a prize. |

I join challenges for motivation, and if the deadline is about a month away. I also just like seeing everyone's creations and the winners, it's a friendly competition. I prefer ratings and making a pattern as a prize, and I don't really care for loves or friend requests.
