today was a freaking awesome day. it was my high school's walkaround and we have this program where we have freshman mentors who help new students navigate the building and school life. I'm one of the freshmen mentors, I got to help one girl find her class but tbh we have so many mentors that it's hard to find people to help. so instead I went to help some of my friends at a club booth (we have a bunch of clubs represented in the main area of the school so freshmen can sign up) and I helped my friends advertise for the Asian Culture Club (which I'm in) and I actually became an exec of the club without even trying. Love my friends so much.Then I went home, ate, then went back out and had a viola lesson. I have my learner's permit so my dad took me driving afterwards, and I didn't make any like major mistakes-- my acceleration was smooth, good braking, and everything... yesterday I was crying because of it. After I got home my mom helped me dye my hair again. She was so nervous because we were trying something completely different and she's not a hair stylist or anything, she doesn't know a ton about hair, but the couple of times we've dyed it before have given her some experience. It was an orange to pink ombre, a more difficult ask, and she NAILED it. I love the colors we chose, and I can't wait to debut my new hair color at school in 4 days. And now I'm sitting here, typing this up. Yesterday was a terrible day. Today was a great day. There are bad days and there are good days. And today was definitely definitely a good day. <3 |
