I nearly only do segment knotting that is how I lerned knotting and reading patterns and with the time I lerned that there is a other way and that people to it all the time not only at 1-2-1-2 patterns

I usually do row by row because I can't figure out how to segment knot on any bracelets besides the chevron and candy stripe. 🙁 But I will learn..... 😄 |

I prefer to segment knot whenever possible, I even try to avoid patterns that don’t lend themselves to segment knotting 😊

Row by row is easier if you are just starting out making bracelets but once you start to make more and develop more of an understanding segment knotting is actually easier. Segment knitting is also a lot quicker.

Segment knotting is kinda hard for me but I watch tutorials on the bracelet I’m dining and that usually helps me with my segment knotting

I usually do row by row so I can straighten out the rows and check if all the knots are roughly the same size, if I missed any knots on the previous row it's even more visible. Bracelets with holes are an exception though since they don't make sense anyhow.

I taught myself to read patterns and segment knotting was the way I first learned to read a pattern. 🙂

Segment knotting is a much more enjoyable process for me, so know I only do segment knotting, because otherwise I get bored with the pattern, and segment knotting is also a lot faster than row by row.

I don’t fully understand segment knotting but I’ve gotten myself into some weird mess-ups from being bold with segment knotting

I used to use the row by row method but now that I usually do the teardrop loop you have to do the arrow after it so I just continue doing the arrows afterwards which is called segment knotting.
