Do you say “fine” to refer to attractive people?Story behind why I need to know: I’m on vacation in Europe rn and my friend went up to this guy and said “My [other friend not me lol] friend think your fine” and then my other friend said that people here won’t know what fine means because it’s only a thing in suburban/urban America and I’m not sure where she’s getting that from so I’m just curious lol |

I'm European and not from an English-speaking country.I think it might just be a difference in meaning between the UK/Ireland and the US (potentially also Canada). Or it might also be that 'fine' can have many meanings in general. I would probably understand the meaning based on context. |

I thought about it some more. I think anyone will know a song or movie in which someone talks about a girl being fine. I think most people will be able to figure it out based on context.
