kinda as description says, i was wondering if anybody has any childhood movies that were kind of scary/funny/odd animation or acting/or just kind of wierd that was THEIR childhood movie and not many people know about. very specific but i saw this kind of as a tiktok trend and found it hilarious and nostalgic when i related to themanyways mine are: 1. happily never after (but it was like a choose your own story type thing where you could choose if you wanted it to be about the bad guys or the good guys or smth and my brother made us watch ONLY the one with the bad guys) 2. Spookly the Square pumpkin (traumatic? maybe?) 3. MARS NEEDS MOMS (SO SCARY OMG WHAT WAS THE ANIMATION THINGY AND SO EMOTIONAL?! WHATA?!? MOTHER I LOVE YOU) 4. That old barbie movie about pegasus's ALSO: if youve watched spookly would you be interested in reading a comparative essay that im planning on writing about how Jack the scarecrow from spookly uses the same kind of manipulation and is very similar to ALBUS DUMBLEDORE with the victims of said manipulation being spookly and harry (sorry if its dark i thought this would be funny but manipulation and victims are kinda scary anyways) sorry this post is crazy but lmk!! |

There was this "Richard Scarry's Best Counting video Ever" VCR that we had when Me and my sister were little. Towards the end the little kid went to bed after wandering around his town alone counting things all day, and his mother sang him a lullaby that went, "Close your eyes and go to sleep, you've had a counting day..." apparently a heartbreaking scene that always made my sister cry.

it was a care bear movie. i don't remember the details because i was really little, but in the scene that scared me there was a face in a book, i think it was some kind of ghost or spirit or something, idk but something about that scene scared me really badly. I watched it at my grandmas place and i refused to go there again for months because of that movie, and i had literal nightmares about that scene.

@harrypotty No care bears were scary lol like I have a very vague childhood memory of watching a care bear movie and one of them being stuck in a tower and it being imprinted into my memory, I would not be surprised if i dreamed ab it

My parents showed me Gremlins at age 6 because it's rated PG, but that was by 80s-90s standards. That movie is SCARY. I also accidently walked in on my older sister eatching Jurassic Park, specifically the scene where one guy is eaten off of the toilet. Last but not least, Mars Needs Moms. Need I say more? Truly the trifecta of traumatising films to watch as a child. |
