so where i live there’s a flea market on the first saturday of every month, meaning the next one is june 3rd.

i was wondering if i could have some opinions/advice on me possible purchasing a vendor spot ($25) and selling friendship bracelets.

how much should i sell them for? would any of them sell at all? should i also sell other things? (ex clothes, books, old funko pops, etc) would i lose money based on how much effort and time i put into them? should i make keychains as well?

please lmk what you think! thank you

Take a look at friendship bracelets on Etsy - note the price ranges for different bracelets and see how they vary for # of strings. Etsy usually takes a price cut so you can adjust prices to suit for an irl market (or use that as the cost of your manual labour, up to you)

In terms of if any will sell, I'm sure you'll get sales! If friendship bracelets are a well known thing in your area then you definitely would be able to catch market-goers' attention - displaying them is a v important factor too

I'd consider friendship bracelets part of a mainly summer aesthetic, so anything else you have that gives a summery vibe (eg clothing like u mentioned) then feel free to carry it as well. Something I like to make too are Pura Vida bracelet dupes - waxed polyester cord is pretty accessible on Amazon and the bracelets are super quick/easy to make

You can carry all of your creations if u do keychains and bookmarks and also tell people that you do custom orders! So if they don't want an item bc of the colour or maybe they'd want sth with their name/initials, they can always put in an order which u can get to them in the future 😊

I've done about 3 flea markets for my friendship bracelets, and they've been a little hit and miss. In my case, normals/alphas are not at all popular where I live so people tend to ignore them in favour of whatever's in style. Leading up to a market I try not to overwork myself because that kinda takes the enjoyment out of bracelet making, so I take my time and I'll try to do a pair of a few patterns so people have colour options, and I'll carry whatever I've made over the past few years

If you have social media then definitely promote yourself/the flea market - tell all your friends so they can help spread the word and support you on the day of!
Consider the flea market an investment to bring attention to your bracelets. Have fun with it and don't be discouraged if you don't sell out immediately, there's always risk but always hope for the best

Let me know if you decide to go through with it and good luck!!! 🥰🍀
