patterns randomly being removed?

So this actually happened about a month ago, but I had a pattern of mine removed that was like 2 years old, saying that it was too similar to another pattern. I used a font pattern and another pattern and credited both creators to avoid any issues. Does anyone know why my pattern still got deleted, or how to avoid this happening in the future? I really liked that pattern (and so did many other people) but now it's gone forever. If you could please share some tips/ways to avoid this in the future, that would be great.

Patterns do not get "randomly" removed. Patterns are either removed because they are duplicates/copies of existing patterns or stolen (the user who posted it did not get permission from the original creator to post it on BraceletBook).We do not take removing patterns lightly. We thoroughly look at patterns and the reason for being removed before we actually remove them. @Admin is the only person who removes patterns. Moderators and Super Moderator do not have that ability. To avoid getting patterns removed, I suggest making sure your patterns follow the Review Guidelines and are of your own original design. A couple more tips...- check the database *before* submitting your pattern to make sure it does not already exists (especially if it is a simple design, there is a good chance it already is on the site) - if there is a pattern like yours, make sure your design is *significantly* different (not just one or two knots different) |

@krazyknots how do I make it clear that I got permission from the creator, of say a font pattern, because I had permission and tagged the creators and it still got deleted.
