Hi! I’m curious to know how you organize your threads for bracelets, and I mean which way you do it. Personally, I like storing mine in bobbins and putting them in an organizer but I know there are lots of different ways. Which organizing way do you like best and why? Thanks! |

I store my thread in a few different ways... I don't wrap them around bobbins if i haven't already used a bit of it, i just put the skeins in little colour-coded bags. When I've used a skein a bit, i wrap it around a bobbin and put it in a box 😊 I have another box for scrap thread that can be used in alphas and a little bag in which i put string and bracelets that I'm currently using and my bobbins 😁 It's all quite organised 🤣

That’s smart, I also have a box full of leftover threads that I use for alphas.

No but fr I have them in a shoe box but to make sure they don’t get all scrambled I have those little bobbins and I also made my own out of cardboard cuz I ran out of the bobbins lol, and then I put my scraps in a bag

Smart using cardboard! I also put them in a rainbow order because it looks so much better!

I separate my threads by color and separate them into small bags, then put all the bags into a small box.

That’s cool! Do they ever get tangled though?

I usually gravitate towards the round spools of Aunt Lydia's crochet thread. I LOVE that you get so much of it. I keep them stacked on a flag pole. That way the poles can rest comfortably in any corner of the room.

Last year I broke down and bought one of those containers that have the slots in them and the square bobbin things like tiktok bracelet makers have. Before that it was all in an old bead box and a bag

I got a bunch of embroidery floss from my great grandma years ago, and some from a friend-all that I sorted in ziplock bags by color and have it in a little drawer. I got 4 bags, 1 blues, 1 greens, one multicolored strings, and one all colors, from some friends, I sorted the assorted colors into a plastic tackle container and keep the others in a drawer with some other string. I got a big bag with lots of different colors of embroidery floss and a smaller one with just blues from my grandma, and 2 small bags with different colors from 2 different people which I keep in a box that had socks in it. I got a bunch more thread from my Grandma but they’re different kinds of string, so I sorted them by the kind of string (not by color) in a big fold-out tackle box. And I have way more string than that but it’s not organizes as well…..

Oh yeah, I keep the majority of my scraps in a bag, put the really small ones in an old corn starch container (specific lol), supposedly to use for stuffing someday, and keep the slightly larger ones in another container.
