I just read Fitzgerald’s “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” and my life is now ruined. I managed to completely miss the point of the story and hyperfixate on the part that dove into my fears :’D so, I would love some wholesome, fun times to refresh! I’m looking for YA or adult (but without mature content, ifkyk) recs, rom-com or slice-of-life type stories. I’m super unfamiliar with those genres so I thought I’d ask for recs here! Thanks a lot :> (also if you need fantasy recs lmk!) |

I’ve really liked any book by Melanie Cellier. She writes fantasy/fairy tale. I know you didn’t really ask for that genre but thought I’d recommend them because they’re YA, clean, and always a have a happy ending.

So I've been reading The Hero's Guide to Saving Your Kingdom by Christopher Healy. It's a lighthearted, funny, action-packed Fairytale retelling. I personally read it when I feel bad and the humor always helps. You also get some AMAZING illustrations throughout the book. Hope this helps (:

"Summer At Tiffany's" is a cute story from the 1940, I don't remember the author's name. "Hattie Big-Sky" by Kirby Larson is another sweet story (a little sad) but it ends hopeful. "Reckless" by Cornelia Funk is a really good fantasy book and the sequel "Fearless" is also good. There's a third in the series but I haven't read it yet.
