tools to help with arthritic hands?

Re posting this from my Reddit since nobody really has any ideas there.I’m hoping someone will be able to offer insight or suggestions. So, I believe I have arthritis, it’s definitely always been a little noticeable but it’s gotten way worse in the past several months to the point of severe pain when doing things like driving or holding my cell phone. Compression gloves have helped me up until recently, but I haven’t been able to make any bracelets since January. I’ve tried different methods of holding and pulling the string to relieve some strain on my fingers but nothing is effective as it’s hard to get the knots tight enough to look neat without hurting my fingers. I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing something similar, and if anyone has advice? Are there any tools you guys use or recommend to potentially make things easier? Any techniques on pulling your knots? My setup right now is just a clipboard and my compression gloves. This has been my hobby since I was a kid and I don’t want to give it up, I have so much more to create and learn. Thank you in advance, I’ll be checking back later. Tldr is there anything I can purchase or do myself to relieve stress on my finger joints+wrist? |
