hey yâall. so, iâm non-binary and lesbian. and closeted which suckssss. and hereâs why iâm still closeted.( this is a bit of a vent so like u donât have to read it if you donât want that)so, i was 8 and this is when i had my first gay crush and started to think i might be bi. i wanted to come out then, but i didnât because i knew people were weird abt young gays. and even my crush was weird abt it, which sucked. now, itâs 2021, and iâm like 99% sure iâm lesbian and not rlly sure iâm a girl either. so, i reach out to my gay friend maddie who iâve known since i was 8. after talking to them i definitely know iâm nb and les, so we keep talking, and yk itâs fine. theyâre kinda just a safe person i know wonât out me. but then comes august and my parents read my texts. they see everything and get pretty upset abd have a talk w me, but donât ground me. but iâm still confused and tired and everything else so i go on minecraft w maddie to talk where my parents wonât see, but later they look again and get mad at me for talking to maddie anywhere they canât see, and i admit that we talked abt lgbtq. i got grounded for 6 MONTHS. and my parents claim to support lgbtq but when their freaking child is they ground them. they say iâm too young to know or talk about it, too old to be trans or non-binary, and that my hormones just havenât kicked in, âyou were always fine with being a girlâ, âbut you liked levon so youâre not lesbianâ, âdo you even know what that meansâ my mom is the weird one abt this, she never calls trans ppl their correct pronouns only âtheyâ, she said that she doesnât like how âwomen give up their femininity bc they think itâs trendy to decide to be trans or non-binaryâ (she actually said decide but also preaches that itâs not a choice and that i canât decide it) iâm not saying i can, she just thinks i am? itâs confusing my dad is fine like he was mad too but rlly just bc i did it again after they said no the first time. one time he instead of scrolling past an lgbt dnd video when i was watching w him he kept it on? idk if that means anything or no but like heâs good abt it rlly good. now iâm crushing on a girl, idk what to do, and gender dsyphoria is kinda bad rn. i just wanted yâall to know whatâs going on rn, and yeah. ima just tag my friends list down here if yâall maybe have any advice or support ? @dracula @apples123 @gerardway @Someony @behappy8 @fatima_msv @hollow_log @ChaosZone @kindcat @BeachyEm @nonhuman @Aussie_Izz @tkd2010 @srimpy @peteypie21 @KhyaDog |

hey. iâm really sorry that your mom doesnât support you. but at least your dad does. maybe try talking to him and asking him to talk to your mom. iâm not really sure. what sheâs saying is ridiculous tho. so like i said maybe try talking to your dad. iâm so sorry and donât ever hesitate if you need to talk <333

@sage-wolf ok than well f your afraid of your moms disapproval than maybe subtly but firmly tell her maybe?bc maybe just start with telling your dad and than ask your dad to tell your mom ?and if you donât want to do that than maybe start with telling your mom that youâre đłď¸âđand than if that goes well maybe a while after that you can tell her that your nb ? But idk abt this kinda stuff but Iâm here soo I just did this...I hope this helps!

Yeah I agree with everyone else it might be better to talk to your dad and try to get him to persuade your mum to accept that their talented child has the right to be who they want to be!
