If I’m doing a wall hanging that is 365 rows, how long should I have the string?

@141594 It’s kinda confusing but I’m going to do a row a day for the year like a temperature blanket!

With alphas, it’s kind of hard to know, but if you have made an alpha in the past you can use that to measure. For example, if you’ve made an alpha that’s 60 rows, multiply the length of it 6 times (add a few more inches) and use that measurement to cut the base strings. For the leading strings, I would just knot directly from the bobbin/skein. This is such a cool idea btw. I’ve seen people do crochet temperature blankets, but I’ve never thought to knot a temperature wall hanging
