I have a lot of pink and pinkish colors. How can or should I use them if I don't really like pink very much? Like as accent colors in patterns? If so which patterns? Any advice or ideas would be appreciated. 🙂

make jellyfish! I've made a couple jellyfish ornaments with some of my pink string, but haven't uploaded pictures of them. basically you make a mandala and turn it into sort of a bowl then braid the string to be tentacles. look at photos of #70.

if you find my photos, there's a blue bowl that is kind of like how i do jellyfish. Some other patterns are #99827 #119357 #108992 #108992 #127751 or #129965 but make them pink (basically any flowers-#6368, #76399, #116901, #48459, #103722, #33800, #43206, #113946) you could do cherry blossoms, they're pink. I just use the colors i don't like in bracelets to sell or give to people... |

i think pink goes good with black and white so if you find a pattern with black and white, i recommend adding a pink somewhere. i don’t have any specific patterns to give you, but yeah, that type of thing

in the past i used colors i dont like as base strings in alphas but now i only use cotton thread(? im not sure if its called like that in english im sorry its not my first language) because i think its waste of thread even if i dont like the colors but maybe its okay for you anyway!

@TKEStrong3 Thank you for your suggestions! I don't make alphas very often, I definitely have to practice more, but flowers and mandalas are great ideas. I always meant to make a mandala! And I will definitely make some flowery stuff.

@rstring5 Oh yeah, use pink as like an accent color? Good idea too. I do that a lot with red as the accent to black, white, and gray. I could do that with pink too. Thank you!

@parzudia As base strings is a good idea. I usually just use scraps, I suppose I could just use pink too. Though I don't make alphas much. But if/when I do I will keep that in mind. Thank you! Also your English is very good. 👍🏻 |

i am in the exact same boat, i hate pink so as a result i have a ridiculous amount of pink bc i never use it 😅 ive been trying to look at alphas that have pink backgrounds, because some of them look great even though i don’t like pink 🙂 like there are lots of alphas that are like strawberry or watermelon patterns that are super cute and use up heaps of your pink!

Maybe gradients. Even a chevron looks pretty cool with a gradient or a mandala flower would use a good amount
