In beauty and the beast do they have dishes that aren’t alive or they eat on top of the plates faces and stuff plz answer it been bugging me

well the plates dance around with legs and arms, don't they? but i don't think they had faces, so the food would be on the plates faces but they're all without faces? they are living plates but faceless, does that make sense?
