I've been trying for a while to find good multi colored thread that's long enough to be a background string for an alpha. I'm trying to find ones that are not from etsy or don't just have the same 3 colors. Any suggestions?

Prism and DMC make multicolor thread, which are available at a lot of craft/hobby stores

ive had issues with quality of prism string, like it fades really fast and was breaking a lot when i made tighter knots @oceanknot but it could have been the operator 😂

@xc2024 I do agree that the quality of Prism isn’t the best, but I haven’t had any issues with it yet (other than it not being as soft as my other strings). If it’s fading and breaking when you make tight knots though, that’s probably not your fault, especially if you haven’t had issues with other string brands.

@oceanknot yeah i figured, my sister has no issues with the string breaking tho so that part could be more of a ‘me’ problem but the fading is just annoying 😠
