Hey guys! I just posted a photo of pattern #121779, I was wondering if anyone would be able to give me any tips on my knotting? Some knots are larger than others, mainly the fb/bf knots. Also my diamonds aren't straight, how can I work on improving? Am I knotting too tight? Thanks for any help 🙂

It looks really well done!! 🎉
fb/bf knots are tricky for me as well sometimes bc when I do the 1st knot, it starts to loosen a bit before I do the 2nd knot. So next time you can try to keep the tension or tighten it a little before u do the 2nd knot. You can practise some patterns that require a lot of fb/bf knots so u get the hang of it, like #255 or #2303

Are you doing segment knotting? Maybe one half of your diamonds are being knotted tighter than the other and that's why they're not straight. When I do diamonds I like to kinda stretch / tighten the knots at the top half accordingly to make sure the diamond isn't too narrow / wide. And that way I can determine how to knot the lower half so that it looks like a proper shape. I also move super slowly with diamond patterns as well bc it's so easy to have them go lopsided haha 😅

Hope this helps!

I think I looks really good! I can tell what your talking abt tho (the different sizes knots). I would just say practice. Making smaller, shorter designs just working on your knotting. Trying to get all your knots the same size can be difficult but practice makes better! Also if you don’t like the look of it try making a tighter bracelet then a looser bracelet. I did this and found i knot better and like the final product more when I knot looser. I hope this helps!💖💛🤍
