I've had this one mod keep rejecting my patterns with reasons I seriously can't agree with, like they rejected this one pattern saying "it's a little distorted" when the distortion they see wAS PART OF THE PATTERN and said that the We Bare Bears alpha I created used "colours that were too similar" and kept rejecting my pattern until I changed Panda's colour until it is so wrong it doesn't even look like the character anymore. I get that there are a lot of people submitting patterns and stuff but sometimes the reason for rejection of patterns given doesn't even feel legitimate and it's such a turn off that I'm considering not submitting patterns altogether anymore. There also isn't really a way for you to message the mod and tell them that "actually it's not distortion, it's part of the pattern if you look closely". Anyone feels the same way? ://

If you have concerns about declined patterns, please feel free to directly message a Moderator. I'm sorry you feel this way, and I completely understand your frustration.

We are looking for patterns that meet certain guidelines, such as colors that are distinct from each other; colors that aren't too dark so that the patterns is easier to see; clean and finished patterns with minimal color palates (like minimal shading) so that pattern is easier to see.

Again, if you have concerns about your declined pattern, please directly message a Moderator.

But wouldn't people want gradients bc I keep on getting rejected for a green to blue gradient

@brachel714 I mean I would assume people enjoy gradients too and I wouldn't understand why the pattern is rejected unless it's an alpha that literally has no pattern and is just row after row of colour and gradient. I guess you gotta look at the explanation given unless it's like "some colours are too similar" and it's what I kept getting as well (although mine wasn't a gradient) and sometimes it just feels like a stock message you're getting back or something and your work isn't really appraised properly.

@brachel714 @Rose6728 Gradients are acceptable, but each color needs to be distinct from each other so it is easier to read the pattern. Sometimes this can be tricky because the generator doesn't always notify you when colors are too similar.

We greatly appreciate users submitting patterns, but colors in a pattern, regardless if it is gradient or not, need to be distinguishable from each other.

I tried over 20 times to get a alpha accepted and it made me SO MAD when I got the referred message over and over

i think it is always a good idea to message the moderator (kindly of course) if you are confused about the decline message, rather than just doing the same thing over and over and getting angry about it. they can explain a lot better when you ask specific questions, and if you explain the goal of your pattern they will definitely want to help!

when you're making a pattern you need to make sure the colors aren't too similar, also make sure the pattern is like even if that makes sense

Yeah, after having submitted some patterns I started to get annoying and after getting a rejected pattern I just message the mod who rejected it directly (whoops) and I know they're super busy but it's a lot more effective and it feels less like you're just dealing with AI. My last pattern was dealt with my KrazyKnotz and she was super nice and helped me to get my pattern to be more acceptable and it just made everything a lot less frustrating. The mods are pretty nice if you choose to reach out!!
