What’s the difference when tying with craft cord than embroidery floss? And why should you not use them together when making alphas? Thanks

Craft cord is a lot thicker and not as soft as embroidery floss. The reason why people say you shouldn’t use them together when making an alpha is because they’re different thicknesses, so your alpha is probably not going to turn out flat and/or have straight edges. However, you can use craft cord as a base string and embroidery floss as a knotting string. I find that using thicker base strings makes my bracelets turn out neater and more sturdy.
