Hello! When I shade I like to take a tissue and smear the pencil and it gives a real great look. For drawing ideas I never know what to draw so I just look up "drawing ideas". 😂
I hope this helps!

hey there! There are plenty of tutorial on youtube that are free, if you want to do realistic shading, I use a q-tip! You can also use a stencil or random things around your home as basic shapes, for example you can use the bottom of a coffee mug to make a circle!

I’ve been drawing forever, the way I practice is finding a weakness in my art for example, I have a hard time drawing fabric.
Then I look for something fun to draw that has a lot of the thing I’m weak at. For fabric I chose a jellyfish because of they’re layered body’s and tentacles. Then I have a great time drawing jellyfish I choose a page in my sketchbook and fill it to the brim with jellyfish.
Some suggestions are jellyfish, angler fish, beetles and bugs, birds, flowers, fire, water, buildings, landscapes, fantasy landscape, people dancing.
Also I’f you just want to have fun I love creature design, making up your own creatures is extremely fun.
Making face charts to practice expressions is a good idea too.

Hi! I am a fellow artist and i know EVERYONE says it, but you really do just have to practice. Using references off of pintrest for clothing, poses, hair, etc., has been a huge help. Also remember to take your time, sometimes rushing through a drawing can be the reason it doesn't turn out right. I personally like to draw cartoon people and animals. (specifically frogs tho, lol) So you just kinda have to figure out what you like, it could be landscapes, flowers, animals, people, clothing, still lives (a drawing of a still object like a cup or lamp) and other things too! I hope this helps you out a bit! 😄

Pinterest has a lot of good things to draw , I naturally search things I like, like anime and fantasy animation characters then practice drawing it by creating the base of the picture on paper .
I divide the reference picture into shapes to get the idea where everything is then afterwards I lightly rub it out and add textures and values plus line art as seen on the reference .

Don't be scared to use references!

Even big artists had their models and pose refs! Don't trace other peoples are but use stock images or sites like quickposes and posemaniacs and ardokastock (on deviantart) to practice anatomy with!
