I would recommend #57530 since it doesn’t have a lot of color switches, but if you filter by amount of strings and colors, you can find a lot more options.

maybe try a letter pattern, those are easier and you don’t have to do the color switches if you make the base strings all one color and the leading string another, you can just get used to knotting like an alpha instead of normals

This was my first alpha: #97513 it’s really simple but after that I recommend looking at thicker patterns because those are what you probably need the most practice with (or at least that was the way it is it was for me)

Have you seen the Masha knots tutorial? I found that super helpful when starting alphas. Also for your first one try and have a 2 string border around the whole design because that makes colour changes a lot more simple (just to begin with! It's really not that hard to change the colours at the edges, but maybe avoid that for your first one - Masha explains how to do it in her tutorial as well). Don't be scared of alphas! They intimidated me at first, but once I started doing them i found it quite simple. Good luck!

@DenverHere are some great ones! #112559 elephants: 4 colors #78571 arrow: 2 colors #73834 zodiac Aquarius ♒️ 2 colors - there are patterns by this same user for every sign if you’re into that #91686 popsicle : 3 colors There aren’t a lot of options with 10 strands and only two colors, so I gave you a couple out of those guidelines that I think will still work really well. |
