Hey hey! I want to make a cross stitch pattern as a wallhanging for my grandma and I want that wallhanging to be about 100 strings! I was wondering how I know if a cross stitch pattern will be 100 strings?

if your cross stitch pattern is 100 by 100 (in squares) you will have 100 base strings because each stitch will become one knot

if you meant converting an cross stitch pattern to alpha its pretty much the same keeping in mind one cross stitch is one base string
