Hey! Okay so my cat ripped my comforter on the bottom corner. I have never sewed before so I am wondering what kind of sewing thread and what sewing technique I should youtube to use. I need to be able to wash this in a washing machine after it is fixed as well so looking for a durable technique. Thanks!

Not sure about sewing thread, but in general anything best to try to get it from a credible store. I do believe that nylon is stronger than cotton so try to find thread that is thicker and isn’t pure cotton. For stitches, I’m not really sure if it’s feasible to do (because of the nature of the tear), but back stitch holds up the best imo. Keep your stitches as small as possible if you want it to be stronger. Also make the knots really secure and tight at the ends. Good luck on sewing! I hope it works out well for you ❤️ |
