So like I’m listening to Born this way by Lady Gaga and I was thinking oh I remember liking the kidz bop version of it when I was little and um this is a song about loving yourself no matter who you are so tell me why kidz bop you didn’t include the lyric about LGBTQ+ ? I mean what’s the point because it’s not inappropriate but nope 👎 well I mean I guess this doesn’t really matter I just wanted to rant.

Yeah, that’s stupid. I hate how people say that kids shouldn’t be “brainwashed” to think lgbtq+ is okay, but think it’s okay to brainwash them that only their religion is right

I think it’s the fact that some parents don’t want their children to think about sexuality yet, and so kids bop decided to take it out because it’s explicitly made for kids and not everyone wants their kids to listen to that, yet it’s still a good beat : ) that’s my take on it it was good to hear yours!

@Godluvsu Talking about your sexual orientation/gender identity is not inappropriate. I would understand if the song had mentioned something sexual, but just saying gay, straight, bisexual, transgender, etc. is not inappropriate nor sexual at all. The song teaches tolerance of all different kinds of people, yet they chose to censor mentions of lgbtq+ people. If parents can ask their 4 year olds if they have a boyfriend or girlfriend, I think they can handle positive representation of lgbtq+ people in a song.
