If you could go to any country outside of the one you reside in, where would you go, and why? I think this is an interesting question to ask, and I’ll give you mine. Germany and Ireland (I’m German and Irish so I think it would be cool to go) I have already been to: The United States (I live here) France Poland Switzerland Austria Italy Vatican City And if you count just landing there on an airplane and the airport, then England and some place is Canada too. Where have you gone? |

okay so1) I can't do anything. like literally nothing. i'm "the delicate american girl" and last time we were there for THREE MONTHS and I literally wasn't allowed to leave the house. i left the house twice during the whole time 2) I CAN'T CLIMB ANYTHINGGGGGGGGGGGGG!! I'm a girl. In egypt girls can't do anything. I was climbing this gate thing we have in front of our house, I got 3 feet off the ground, within three seconds 8 people came and told me to get down because i could "get hurt" (like no dude i was 3 feet off the ground in america i climb things 20 feet off the ground and still don't get hurt) 3) overall, boys can do anything, girls can't do anything. the men are so disrespectful to the women! it's like "the men go and do the work and earn the money for the families so the girls have to stay home and do all the housework and all the cooking" and stuff. and like literally the men don't even appreciate the work the girls and women do! an example is once my aunts had just finished cleaning the whole entire house, my uncle sat down, started eating sunflower seeds and just spit the shells on the floor. then he yelled at his sister to clean it up. and since he was a boy and she was a girl of course she had to do it. and they literally think boys are better than girls and have no problem saying that. 4) littering. PEOPLE LITERALLY JUST DUMP THEIR TRASH IN THE STREETS!!!!!! there's trash everywhere. once a day my aunts just bring the trash bag down the block and put it on the train tracks for some reason. 5) I used to be able to go talk to the neighbors, they're really nice and stuff and i prefer talking to them than my cousins, but then APPARENTLY my grandmother was like "no you must be with your FAMILY those neighbors are stupid" (basically got jealous that we liked talking to the neighbors) and now i can't see them anymore 6) every meal is 90% meat. I'm vegetarian. and then everybody is like "sUsU yOu'Re sO sKiNnY yOu'Re gOiNg tO StArVe eAt MeAt eAt FiSh iT's hEaLtHy" and uhhh they have no clue what eating healthily is, my grandmother is literally so overweight she CAN'T WALK TO A DIFFERENT ROOM WITHOUT BEING OUT OF BREATH FOR 20 MINUTES AFTERWARDS 7) our cousins just walk into our rooms, play with or use whatever they want of our things, and just leave. they've broken so many of my things before and it's so annoyingggggggg 8) i do irish dance but there isn't that in egypt so they don't get it. I don't have a problem with that but every time i do dance practice they're like "wHaT aRe yOu dOiNg wHaT iS tHaT nO yOu ShOuLdN't iRiSh dAnCe iT's wEiRd" (and in egypt, being weird is the last thing you want to be. everything is about gossip and what your neighbors did so what you did and how this person insulted that person at the market and stuff. and it's so competitive too! our neighbors built a new story on their house, perfectly normal, my family was like "AAAAAAAAAAH THEY CAN'T DO THAT THEY WILL BE COOLER THAN US" so they built another story and so now we literally have a 4 story house and 2 of the floors aren't being used) 9) people are so mean to my grandfather. all he wants is to eat good food and sit in bed with his billion blankets (because it's not hot enough already, he has 3 heavy blankets even when it's 110 degrees in the summer). but they are so disrespectful to him. they give him the worst food, take his blankets for no reason, and they literally taught the TWO YEAR OLD BABIES to insult him. really bad insults too (in egypt if you call someone the "son of a shoe" that's like the worst thing you can call someone) |

pfft that was a lot but anyway it's only like that bc i go and live with family in the middle of nowhere (it's a 4 hour car ride away from Cairo) so yeah. if you were a tourist everything would be better, you'd probably go to cairo with the fancy cars and stores and pyramids, so it would be completely different

oh yeah and also the heat (it's like 90 - 115 degrees every day) and the mosquitossssss the people in egypt don't even react to mosquito bites, they're just kinda immune, but when i went last time i literally got over 100 mosquito bites and they were all SO ITCHY
