( I've just started reading some YA books and need some recommendations that are for 12+ that are appropriate and don't have anything that is inappropriate overly romantic or violent to a really gross point ) ( basically books to start with reading ) I've so far read Skyward, and Wicked Fox! 7: Does anyone love writing book reviews! ooh yayyyyyyyy a book related forum post i love booksssssssssssssssssslol that was random but anyway here ya go 1: Your Favorite Books: Well these are more of series's but anyway... Arc of a Scythe by Neal Shusterman The Blackthorn Key series by Kevin Sands The Ascendance Series by Jennifer A. Nielsen A Deadly Education by Naomi Novik Sal and Gabi Break the Universe and the second book, Sal and Gabi Fix the Universe, by Carlos Hernandez 2:Favorite Authors: I don't really have any authors that I love all their books, normally I'll really like one book or series they wrote and not really like the other stuff they wrote, but if I had to pick I'd pick Neal Shusterman, Kevin Sands, Jennifer A. Nielsen, and Naomi Novik 3:Favorite Character ( Do you ship anyone )? Definitely Jaron from The Ascendance Series. He is sarcastic, funny, a daredevil, awesome, and kind of an idiot if i'm honest but he's the best 4: Do you write books? Do you hope to be a author? Yes! I write books! I kinda already think of myself as an author but I haven't published anything (yet) 5: have you ever met a author/know a author or been to a book signing event? I asked my library to invite Jennifer A. Nielsen to the library and they said yes! Oh and for graphic novels (i forgot they existed) Queen of the Sea is pretty good! Also Roller Girl and All's Faire in Middle School, there's little to no romance in those. I also have a lot of historical fiction book recommendations, i'll put them here tomorrow though because i'm too tired to think of them all lol (it's 1am where i live)

With books romance is more of the issue I dont mind violence that much but if it's like a 14, 18 + book because of the Violence that's too much🙄😗 and thare is cannibalism, 😶! I hope to be a author too one day and meet a author!

It's my passion. 👍 ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ I just started getting into appropriate YA novels with something that isn't over a kiss..( I have lots) 1,Favorite books ( Fantasy) The Ascendancy trilogy Keeper of the Lost cities Percy Jackson Harry potter ( I do not like Lord of the Rings..even though it's popular) Wings of Fire Warrior cats Favorite books ( Fiction) The Night diary Front Desk Brother's Keeper Land of the Cranes King and the Dragonflies ( YA) 2,Favorite authors: Any author that wrote any books that I just mentioned 3,Favorite characters: ( In no particular order) Jaron/ Sage ( same person) 😄 from the Ascendancy trilogy, he's hilarious and very reckless, Tam and Linh, from KOTLC two opposite personalities, Winter From Wof. I don't ship anyone normally but Winter and Moon is something that should've have happened. Cricket and Blue, also. I kind of like Spensa from Skyward, she tries to achieve her dreams even though there are lots of hardships 4. Yes I want to be an author one day and I do write my own books and poems 5. Have you ever met an author? No. But yes, in my dreams 6. Book reccomendations All the books I mentioned. For some books that I'm going to read but am not sure about yet, this isn't a suggestion, but what I might read The Magisterium series ( By Holly Black and Cassandra Clare two popular YA authors who wrote a more middle grade story) The Alchemist The Darkdeep Magyk ( The septimus heap series) The Ranger's Apprentice Mark of the thief series 7. Does anyone write book reviews Yes I do on Vancouver public library 8. I'm a hardcore reader who likes fantasy and fiction from time to time. Not too over the 12+ range of YA books would be nice, if someone could recommend them. @ SusuKnots have you read any other books by Jennifer A nielson. I read the Ascendancy trilogy ( Now a series 😜) and the other books about the wars and nazis and stuff. I want to read the Mark of the thief series. Have you read it yet? |

1 favorite books: I don’t really have any favorites, but I enjoyed The Hunger Games, some of the Harry Potter books, Four Red Banners, Wonder, and the All Creatures Great And Small series. 2 Favorite authors: Suzanne Collins, Gianna Cruz, C.S. Lewis, J. R. R. Tolkien. 3 Favorite Character: Rue from THG. And no. I don’t ship people. 4 Do you write books: Yes, I do! I’m working on getting something published by the end of 2025. 5 author stuff: I have met authors, I have one signed book, and I know a couple authors!

Ugh..I forgot to add..my other favorite book series..well not favorite but good at leastThe Unwanteds The Maze runner ( YA pretty..violent..and not a favorite but good in a sense of the writing style) @SusuKnots I'll take your favorite book series as suggestions and maybe read them. The books that are my favorite never go over a kiss, so I think you could read some of them too. Is arc of the scythe very violent? 1 to 10? I'm fine with anything below a 7 or 8..though I don't like too much. Did you read all the books in that trilogy..series? |

Maybe we'll all be authors one day..I really hope soI forgot to mention, another one of my favorite book series ( Eragon by a guy who published it when he was 18) Eragon is Ya but not 13 for the reading level, since it's hard to read, not really for the content which is appropriate for a 10-12 year old. |

@fox618 The Arc of a Scythe series isn't too violent compared to the others! I would say a 5? And I did start reading Mark of the Thief multiple times but I hated it, idk why. She also wrote a different series, the first book is The Traitor's Game, but I wasn't allowed to read it because of the romance 😭

@fox618 I had to go but I'm back now to keep saying stuff lol. And I just re read Scythe and it's actually probably a 7 or 8 in terms of violence. I've read a lot of your favorite books! Here's the listThe Ascendancy trilogy - yes it's awesome, I'm pretty sure I recommended it to you actually 😂 Keeper of the Lost cities - not allowed to read it because of the romance, but I will ask my mom again Percy Jackson - I didn't really like it but I'm gonna try again because it's popular Harry potter - meh, not my favorite, the books up until the 4th book are pretty good though ( I do not like Lord of the Rings..even though it's popular) (I agree I don't like it at all) Wings of Fire - not allowed to read, don't like them that much though Warrior cats - I read these a few years ago when I was 8 I think? I don't really remember if I liked it or not. Favorite books ( Fiction) The Night diary - I haven't read this, but I will definitely check it out of the library soon! Front Desk - Yessssssss this is awesome, did you know there's a sequel, it's called Three Keys. Brother's Keeper - I haven't read this but I'll get it soon Land of the Cranes - I also read this when I was 8ish, I'm pretty sure I liked it though King and the Dragonflies ( YA) - I just got this book from the library actually! I'm looking forward to reading it |

@SusuKnots Brother's Keeper made @fox618 and cry! It's such a powerful heartbreaking deep story. Wings of fire is my favorite series although I dont like some books like the first 5 and a few others, like book 8 and 10. KOTLC I read the series it's good but the romance is still not great for me i dont like romance. On common sense media its 9+ ( I disagree) so you should be able to read it but it depends because the books gradually get more romantic🙄😗 and is a bit much for me.
